July 9 - Benefit for Bruce A. King - Concerts For A Cause

Bruce A. King is a local realtor for Prosper Properties and well-known in Kyle and Buda for his  involvement in charity work and giving back to the community. He is even better known as "Hays County Santa" as he has been the "face" of Santa Claus in the Hays County area for many years. Chances are, if you have children, you have his photo somewhere.

He has been ill recently and, unfortunately, he does not hold insurance. There is a medical procedure he requires, but does not have the funds to cover the expenses.

When Concerts For A Cause heard about this, we immediately refocused our July 2016 show in order to help this man, who has done so much for the community.

So.. the July 9, 2016 Concerts For A Cause is a Benefit For Bruce "Santa" King.

We will have a community party at Central Texas Speedway's Car Bar that will include a dunking booth and other "reindeer games." We will have several of the non-profits CFAC is hosting shows honoring out at the event as well.

Sean Garrison and the 3rd Watch Band, who will be releasing their first album (perhaps at the show), will open the show at The Car Bar playing from 5-6p.

Band info:

Playing from 6-8p is Brotherhood of the Girl - an eclectic indie, folk, pop, rock, country band of musicians.

Band Info:

We will also be raffling off this 19" LED Television that was donated by Kyle's Money & More Pawn.
The raffle will be held at 8p. We will be selling $1 tickets from 5-8 at the show... winner doesn't have to be present, but must answer the phone at 8p when called). Winner also must be able to make arrangements pick up television.

After CFAC's "official" show.. music will continue with Nashville's Tim Moore (9-10) and Kyle's Keith Kelso (10-12) . Central Texas Speedway, Kelso and Moore have agreed to continue the fundraising for Bruce for the entire evening (event).

A medical benefit account has been set up by the fine folks at TrustTexas Bank.
Please make any checks out to "Bruce A King Medical Account"

  • promoting development and learning,
  • providing support to families,
  • coordinating services, and
