Concerts For A Cause 2015 Wrap-Up

The 2015 season of Concerts For A Cause began in March and wrapped up in November 2015. The charities served this season included (in alphabetical order):
In addition to raising awareness about all of these charities that are local to Hays County, Texas, Concerts For A Cause raised $11,100.35 for these charities. This was more than 66% more than was raised in our first season (2014).

As a part of our monthly concert Series, there were a number of musicians and bands who donated their time and talents each month. We were blessed to have 30 artists/bands perform over the 13 concerts.

The performers for 2015 included:

Bloom, Dan Holmes Group, DJ Versus, Drew Kennedy, Floodgage, George Mercado, Jr ( of Broken Arrow), Heather Bishop, Heather Wiley, Lee Baker and Friends, Hill Kountry Killers, Jana Pochop, Jim Raby & The Good Whisky Band, JJ Garrett Band, Lone Star Lynn and Guitar Gary, Lucas Cook, Motion To Revoke, Our Last Daze, Peace Pipe Prophets, Piano w/ Danny & Taxi, Shelley King, Soulshaker, The Converts, The Easy Out, The Keith Kelso Band, The Rankin Twins, and Trashy & The Kid.

We'd like to humbly and sincerely thank all of the supporters of Concerts For A Cause in 2015. These included: Blue Computer Solutions, Central Texas Speedway, Cross Plants and Produce, Cheryl Bruder, Down South Railhouse, Fox's Pizza Den, Keith Kelso, Money & More Pawn, Most Wanted Smokers, Penny Moulder, Pinballz Kingdom, South Folk Eatery (Sean Bautista), Sustain-A-Cycle, Taxi's Piano Bar and the UPS Store in Kyle. Also all of the local/area businesses who donated funds and items to our silent auctions giveaways.


Also, Concerts For A Cause worked on and received our Certificate of Formation and formed our Board of Directors.

In 2016 we look forward to finalizing our Non-Profit status while embarking on Season 3 of Concerts For A Cause beginning in March 2016. We look forward to promoting Charities who serve our community in 2016. Stay tuned for an announcement in early February detailing charities, dates and venues for next season.

Concerts For A Cause is throwing a heckava bash for The Simply Charming Mo's of Kyle, Texas to raise $$ and awareness for Movember on Movember 21 at Down South Railhouse.

What: Concerts for A Cause for The Simply Charming Mo's of Kyle, Texas

Bands: Trashy And The Kid (6-8p) & The easy out (5-6p)
Cost: Free (Donations accepted)
SILENT AUCTION:
The Simply Charming Mo's will be running a Silent Auction w/ many items including several mustache-themed items, a Randy Rogers Band autographed guitar, Wiley Ross art, a #KeepItKyle Gift basket and more.
RAFFLE:
There will also be an HP Laptop raffled off (donated by Money & More Pawn) at the show. Up until November 20 you can buy $1 raffle tickets at Money & More and you can also purchase them at the event.

Movember is what the month of November has been renamed because it's a month where we raise awareness and funds for Men's Health issues.

Concerts For A Cause - VJ Versus Dance Party - October 8 - Benefit For The Love Of Go!

It's a DJ Versus Dance Party from 7-9p!

What a perfect way to raise awareness and funds for For The Love Of Go! - A Non-profit who's mission is to get folks off the couch and active?

DJ Versus was Voted 2015 "radio DJ of the year" in Austin Hip-Hop Awards.
He is the Friday night DJ (9p-12p) on KAZI 88.7FM The Voiceand Soul of Austin.




It's also the first night of the Kyle Fair and Music Festival (6-10p) Carnival Sneak Peak Night! All Rides are 1$ each. (No Wristbands required). Also, free parking.

Come on out to Down South Railhouse on Saturday, October 3, 2015 for a Concerts For A Cause benefiting Hays-Caldwell Women's Center.

HCWC provides free services to any victim of family violence and dating violence, elder abuse, sexual assault or child abuse.

Headlining will be Kyle's Keith Kelso (6-8p). Opening will be Lone Star Lynn w/ Guitar Gary.

As always, the event is free to attend and we will be taking donations for HCWC throughout the evening. Please join us to raise awareness and money for this worthy non-profit.
 All donations go 100% to the Hays-Caldwell Women's Center
All funds from the raffle tickets are split 50/50 between Hays-Caldwell Women's Center and Concerts For A Cause.

Concerts For A Cause - September 12 - Kids Outdoor Zone

On Saturday, September 12, 2015 you are invited to join us at Down South Railhouse (107 E. Center Street) in Kyle, Texas between 5-8p a Concerts For A Cause benefiting Kids Outdoor Zone (KOZ). 

It is free to attend and we will have live music, great food (Most Wanted Smokers and South Folk Eatery) and the chance to donate to and/or learn more about KOZ. We will also sell raffle tickets for $1 each. This month's raffle is for an Epiphone Les Paul guitar and amp.



About KOZ:
KOZ is an Outdoor Adventure Ministry that provides kids with mentors and direction to become Godly adults. It was originally founded in order to help fatherless boys have a positive role model and learn about the outdoors while learning about God.


MUSIC:

SHELLEY KING: 
Shelley King headlines, performing from 6-8p. This singer-songwriter has served as the first female Texas state musician, performed with Levon Helm, toured the United States, Europe and Japan and is currently touring in support of her seventh album, Building A Fire.

The event is from 5:00p - 8:00p inside Down South Railhouse and it is family friendly... so PLEASE bring the kiddos out. The show is FREE and all of the funds we raise via donations go directly to Kids Outdoor Zone.

Concerts For A Cause - Hope & Love 4 Kids School Supply Concert 8/1/15


Concerts for A Cause is throwing the most entertaining school supply drive Kyle has ever seen. 


It's going to be from 5p-8p on Saturday, August 1, 2015. We will have live music by motion to revoke, Hill Kuntry Killers and Whiskey Ignition. We will have a great raffle from our friends at Money & More Pawn. Some awesome food from MWS Catering LLC. and South Folk Eatery.

All of this to raise money and supplies for the 11th Annual Hope & Love 4 Kids School Supply drive. What better way to help kids of this community have the supplies they need when they start the next school year?
Please grab some items and head to Down South Railhouse on August 1 and let's have a great time while serving our Hays County youth.

Concerts For A Cause - PAWS Animal Shelter - WIN A LAPTOP

On July 11, 2015 join Concerts for A Cause for a family friendly, music filled evening to benefit PAWS Shelter & Humane Society in Kyle.

About PAWS:
PAWS, a no-kill shelter, was founded in 1986 to provide care and love to homeless, abandoned, and abused animals in Central Texas. At PAWS, companion animals are given medical attention, care, and love for however long it takes for us to find them a loving home.

MUSIC:
Acoustic trio, Brotherhood of the Girl, will perform indie, folk, pop, rock, country music at Down South Railhouse.

Heather Wiley and friends will open from 5-6p.

DINNER:

Come on down for dinner as MWS Catering LLC. will have your BBQ and South Folk Eatery will have other amazing options (menu to come). They support Concerts For A Cause by donating a percentage of sales to the charity.

EDITED - June 2015 Concerts For A Cause - United Way of Hays County



Join Concerts for a Cause for a family friendly, music filled evening to benefit United Way of Hays County.

(Thank you to For the Love of Go for letting us change the beneficiary of this show)

United Way of Hays County has set up a disaster recovery fund to assist those affected by the Memorial Day Weekend floods in Hays and Caldwell counties.

They are working with partner agencies and other non-profit organizations to distribute these funds directly to those in need.
